This serigraphy mobula shirt is made in Costa Rica with 100% cotton material, natural colored. Being 100% cotton guarantees no microplastics will remain at sea. The ink used to print over the shirts is oil-based. The shirt was made in collaboration with the amazing Costarican artist and entrepreneur Eduardo Rojas of Asequir. The Devil Ray (Mobula munkiana) belongs to the Mobulidae family and is characterized by traveling in large groups that undertake temporary migrations between offshore and coastal habitats. This species feeds mainly on planktonic crustaceans of the order “Mysidacea”, which seem to be particularly abundant in Punta Descartes at the peak of the rainy season from July – September. Equipo Tora Carey is studying the species’ biological aspects, such as feeding habitats and migratory patterns, especially of the juveniles that enter the sheltered bays of El Jobo and Rajada Beach.
