This 925 Sterling Silver necklace resembles the Milk Frog (Phrynohyas venulosa) found on Costa Rica’s Tropical Dry Rainforest.
Milk Frog Necklace
This frog necklace is made of 925 Sterling Silver. The design was inspired by the Milk Frog (Phrynohyas venulosa) of the Costa Rican Tropical Dry Rainforest.
Frogs are important controllers of insect larvae such as mosquitoes, that grow in ponds and water bodies with limited movement. This means frogs are direct agents in the prevention of diseases such as Dengue Fever.
The milk frog is easily recognized by its big size and big golden eyes. It derives its name from the milky substance secreted by its skin, which not only helps to prevent it from being eaten by predators but also avoids it from becoming dehydrated during the long dry seasons.
By purchasing this milk frog necklace, you can choose to support any of Equipo Tora Carey’s conservation projects, and as we grow, hopefully, the introduction of new projects on other key species. Also, if you ever want to visit the site and learn more about the projects, make sure to contact us or Equipo Tora Carey and schedule your visit!
